An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part Revenues & Benefit Service team within the Finance & Customer Services division.
You will be responsible for the development and testing of IT applications, undertaking quality assurance checks, collating information for Freedom of Information requests and acting as a point of contact for the DWP Fraud team in line with best practice and the principles of Data Protection.
The main duties of the role include:
You will also be required to attend meetings as appropriate and occasionally on behalf of the senior management team. They will assist the deputy system support manager with the development and implementation of service improvement plans and improvement projects.
Working with the Assistant System support manager with the development of IT applications including testing of new releases, new software and the set up of documentation to improve service delivery.
In conjunction with other senior officers the post holder will assist in the provision of a high quality revenues and benefit service, collating statistical information for senior management, advising on the effectiveness of the service and developing good practice through liaison with other Local Authorities, other public bodies and relevent private sector providers.
You will keep up to date with legislative changes, case law, best practice disseminating this information to the service as a whole.
This is a contract role offered on a 6-month basis.
